Use cake mix and pudding mix, dry.

CAKE:

1 box Duncan Hines golden butter recipe
4 eggs
1/2 c. oil
1 sm. can mandarin oranges & juice

Mix and bake in greased and floured pan at 350 degrees for 25-35 minutes. Test with toothpick. Let cool in pan 20 minutes before turning out.

ICING:

1 lg. can crushed pineapples in heavy syrup
1 lg. carton Cool Whip
1 sm. box instant vanilla pudding mix

Combine the above and beat by hand 3 or 4 minutes. Decorate top of cold cake with icing and chopped pecans and chopped maraschino cherries. Refrigerate and keep cool.
