SMORGASBOARD BREAD 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. sour cream
1 tsp. lemon extract
Grated rind of 1 lemon
2 c. sifted cake flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt

NUT MIXTURE:

1/2 tsp. each cinnamon, mace & nutmeg
1/2 c. finely chopped pecans
1/4 c. sugar

In mixer, cream butter, add sugar and beat well. Add eggs, one at a time, beating until fluffy. Add sour cream, alternating with sifted dry ingredients. Add extract and rind. Pour 1/2 batter into prepared loaf pan. Top with 3/4 nut mixture. Top with remaining batter and nut mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
