SMALL CUCUMBER PICKLES 
1 c. salt
1 pt. water
3 c. sugar
A taste of tumeric
4 qts. water
2 pts. vinegar
4 tsp. pickling spice
Cucumbers (small)

Soak cucumbers overnight in a brine of salt and 4 quarts of water. Rinse. Put in a kettle remaining ingredients and slow boil for 10 minutes. Pour in jar with cucumbers and seal.
