GINGER PEAR DESSERT 
4 med. pears, peeled, halved and cored
1/4 c. orange juice
1/2 c. finely crushed gingersnaps (about 8 cookies)
2 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. chopped walnuts
2 tbsp. butter, melted
Light cream (optional)

Place pear halves, cut side up, in a 12 x 7 1/2 x 2 inch baking dish. Drizzle orange juice over pears. In a small bowl combine gingersnaps, sugar, walnuts, and butter; sprinkle over pears. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 20-25 minutes or until fruit is tender. Serve with light cream.

Makes 8 servings.
