EGG NOG | |
1 doz. eggs 2 lg. cans Pet milk (pre Pet milk) 1 can condensed milk 1 c. sugar 1/2 gal. milk Nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves, vanilla, ginger (or other spices) Warm Pet milk and milk and condensed milk on a low fire. Separate egg yolk and egg whites. (Put aside egg whites). Mix egg yolks, sugar; take a small amount of the warm milk and mix it with the egg yolks and sugar then pour it slowly into pot of remaining warm milk(s). When thickened, add vanilla and spices to taste. After you have seasoned with spices to taste, turn fire off. Let stand. Beat egg whites until very very thick and fluffy (add just a little sugar to beaten egg whites). Do not mix with milk mixture. Just pour on top of milk mixture and let float on top. Good Luck! |
