1/2 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese
1 tsp. maple syrup (more to taste)

Cream together all ingredients. Chill 1 hour. Spread on cooled cake. Makes 1 1/4 cups of frosting.
