TEXAS SHEET CAKE 
2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1 stick butter
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. water
4 tbsp. cocoa
1/2 c. buttermilk
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla

Sift together in large bowl, sugar and flour. Put the following in saucepan, butter, shortening, water and cocoa; bring mixture to a rapid boil and pour over sugar and flour. Mix well. Add buttermilk, eggs, soda, cinnamon and vanilla. Mix well and pour into greased pan (11 x 16 inches) or 2 smaller pans. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.

ICING:

1 stick butter
4 tsp. cocoa
6 tbsp. milk
1 box powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. nuts, chopped

Start icing 5 minutes before cake is done. Combine butter, cocoa and milk, melt and bring to a boil. Remove from heat. Add this to 1 box of powdered sugar, vanilla and nuts. Beat well. Spread on cake.
