SPICED PECANS (MICROWAVE) 
2 c. sugar
2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1/2 c. water
4 c. pecan halves

Combine first 6 ingredients in deep 3-quart microwavable casserole dish. Mix well by hand. Cover with wax paper. Microwave on high for 4 minutes. Stir well. Microwave on high again for 2 1/2 to 4 1/2 minutes. Check frequently until it reaches soft ball stage. Add pecan halves and stir until well coated.

Quickly pour onto wax paper (that you have spread out before hand) and separate with a fork. Let harden and dry. You can separate pecans when they are cooled. Wonderful!

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
