DIVINITY (NEVER FAILS) 
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. white Karo syrup
2 egg whites
1/2 c. water
1 tsp. vanilla
Pinch of salt
1 c. chopped nuts

Mix sugar, syrup, water and salt. Cook slow to hard boil stage on candy thermometer. Pour over stiffly beaten egg whites and beat until mix begins to thicken (loses its shine). Add nuts and vanilla. Beat until well mixed. Spoon onto waxed paper.
