GRANDMA DATES' ROMANIAN TOMATO
STEW
 
1 lb. bacon
5 - 6 onions
1 lg. can whole peeled tomatoes, broken up and squeezed well
1 pt. sour cream

Fry bacon cut into squares (not crispy). Drain well; set aside bacon. Cook onions in bacon drippings until limp, drain. In saucepan add tomatoes and bring to boil; add onions and bacon, boil for 10 minutes. Remove from heat. Fold in sour cream, salt to taste and stir.
