GRANDMA'S PASTA SAUCE 
1 lb. beef (shortribs, stew meat or Italian sausage)
2 med. onions, chopped
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1 lg. can tomato paste
1 reg. size can tomato sauce (16 oz.)
1 can water from each: tomato sauce and tomato paste
Parsley
1/2 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt

In large pot brown meat in oil. Remove from pot. Add onions to grease and brown. Add tomato sauce, paste and cans of water, parsley, sugar, salt and garlic. Simmer with lid on for 3-4 hours.
