GRAHAM CRACKER BARS 
12 whole graham cracker squares, divided
1 egg, slightly beaten
3/4 c. coconut
1 c. graham cracker crumbs
1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. milk
1 c. chopped walnuts
1/2 stick butter, softened
Milk or Half & Half
2 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Place a layer of whole graham crackers in bottom of 9 x 13 inch pan. Melt 1 cup butter in sauce pan and add sugar, egg and milk. Cook, stirring until mixture comes to a full boil. Add coconut, walnuts and graham cracker crumbs. Pour over cracker crumbs. Pour over cracker crust. Add another layer of whole graham crackers. For frosting, combine 1/2 stick butter, powdered sugar, vanilla and enough milk to make frosting spreadable. Frost top of bars. Refrigerate until cool. Cut into bars. Yields twenty 2 inch bars.
