FIG OAT BITES 
1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. (1 stick) butter, softened
1/2 c. honey
1/4 c. milk
2 egg whites
2 c. oat bran cereal
1 c. mission figs, chopped

Stir together flour, baking soda, and cinnamon. Set aside.

In large mixing bowl, beat together butter, honey, milk and egg whites. Add flour mixture, stirring until combined.

Mix cereal and figs; drop by tablespoon onto lightly greased baking sheet. Flatten slightly with bottom of floured glass.

Bake at 375°F for about 10 minutes or until lightly browned.

Makes 3 dozen cookies.
