TOASTED PECAN HALVES 
1 egg white
3/4 c. light brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. pecans

Beat egg whites until stiff. Add sugar and vanilla. Beat until mixed well. Dip pecans in mixture; coat well. Place on greased pans. Bake at 250 degrees for 30 minutes. Turn off oven and leave pecans in oven for 30 minutes longer. Do not open oven door while cooking or setting.
