BEER BATTER FOR FISH 
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. cooking oil
1 c. flat beer (add salt to flatten beer)
1/4 c. flour on dish for dipping fish first

Mix flour, baking powder, and salt. Make well in center of flour mixture and pour in oil and beer, stirring until smooth. Dip fish into plain flour first, then dip in batter and deep fry for 3 to 5 minutes each.
