CRISPY BATTER FOR CHICKEN OR
FISH
 
1 c. cornstarch
1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. cold water

Combine first 3 ingredients. Slowly mix in enough water to make a smooth mixture. Allow to stand about 15 minutes before using. Thin with a little more water, if necessary.
