BREAD AND BUTTER PICKLES 
20 to 30 med. cucumbers
8 lg. onions
1 lg. green pepper
1/2 c. salt
5 c. cider vinegar
5 c. sugar
2 tbsp. mustard seed
1 tsp. tumeric
1/2 tsp. cloves

Wash cucumbers and slice as thin as possible. Chop onions, peppers and combine with salt. Allow to stand three hours and drain. Combine vinegar, sugar and spices in large kettle, bring to a boil. Add drained pickles and heat well. Do Not Boil. Pack while hot and seal.
