RAW APPLE BREAD 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tbsp. buttermilk
1 c. chopped tart apples
1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream butter and sugar until light. Beat in eggs and vanilla; set aside.

Combine flour, salt, soda, baking powder and cinnamon in a separate bowl. Blend dry ingredients into batter alternately with buttermilk. Stir in apples and nuts. Pour into a greased and floured 5x9 inch loaf pan. Bake 50 to 60 minutes. Cool in pan 10 minutes. Remove from pan and cool completely on wire rack. May be made in food processor. Freezes well. 12 servings. May prepare ahead.
