LIGHT DEVIL'S FOOD CAKE 
1 c. butter
2 1/2 c. sugar
2 1/2 c. cake flour
5 eggs
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
Vanilla

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Sift flour with cocoa. Add soda to buttermilk. Add flour mixture, alternately with buttermilk to egg mixture. Add vanilla. Bake in 4 layers at 350 degrees.

FROSTING:

2 sticks butter
1 box powdered sugar
3 tbsp. cocoa
3 to 4 tbsp. evaporated milk
Vanilla

Cream together and beat real well at high speed. Spread between layers and on top and sides of cake.
