RUM RING CAKE | |
1 pkg. yellow cake mix 3 tsp. rum flavoring 1 c. packed brown sugar 1/3 c. melted butter 1/2 c. dark corn syrup 1/4 c. milk 2 (8 oz.) cans mandarin oranges, drained 1. Prepare cake according to directions, adding 2 teaspoons rum flavoring. 2. Bake in bundt pan according to package directions. 3. In a saucepan, blend brown sugar, butter and corn syrup. 4. Cook and stir over low heat until sugar dissolves, do not boil. 5. Remove from heat; gradually blend in milk and 1 teaspoon rum flavoring. 6. Carefully fold in oranges. 7. Serve over cake. |
