CABBAGE ROLLS | |
2 lbs. hamburger 1 head cabbage 1 lg. jar sauerkraut 1 box minute rice 1 lg. can V-8 juice 1 bag or box brown sugar 1 box toothpicks Boil cabbage head so you can peel the leaves off better. Mix minute rice and hamburger together, not the whole box just enough to hold the hamburger together. Make hamburger balls small enough to wrap the cabbage leaves around them. Hold together with toothpicks, one on top and one for each side. Pour water out of pan and layer pan with V-8 juice, sauerkraut, brown sugar, and cabbage rolls. Keep doing this until you run out of V-8 juice. Pour sauerkraut juice into pan and add 1/4 cup of water and cook on top of stove for about 1 hour to 2 hours. Make sure hamburger is done. If you have any hamburger balls leftover, you can put in the pan without the cabbage leaf. |
