BAKED ZITI 
1 lb. ziti
1 lg. green pepper, chopped
1 lg. onion, chopped
2 tbsp. butter
1 lb. ground chuck
1 qt. spaghetti sauce
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 lb. Ricotta cheese
1 lb. Mozzarella cheese, shredded

Cook ziti according to package instructions. In skillet saute pepper, onion in butter until soft. Add chuck, saute until brown, stirring often. Add sauce. Simmer, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. In greased 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan, put a couple of spoonfuls of sauce on bottom. Then layer 1/3 ziti, 1/3 tomato mixture, 1/3 Ricotta, 1/3 Mozzarella. Repeat 2 more times, ending with Mozzarella. Bake in 325 degree oven 45 minutes or until bubbly. Serve either hot or at room temperature. Makes 12-16 servings.
