BAKED BRISKET 
1 whole brisket, 4-7 lbs.
Salt, pepper, garlic powder to taste
Bay leaves, onions

SAUCE:

2/3 c. ketchup
1 tbsp. flour
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp. brown sugar
2 tbsp. wine vinegar
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. Kitchen Bouquet
1 tsp. dry mustard

Season brisket with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Place in roasting pan with 1/2-inch water. Cover with 4 slices onions, 3 bay leaves and roast at 400 degrees for about 40 minutes or until brown on top (uncovered).

Mix all ingredients for sauce. Pour over browned brisket. Cover roasting pan. Bake for about 2-2 1/2 hours at lower oven of 350 degrees. Strain sauce if desired. Slice and serve.
