PEANUT PATTIES 
2 1/2 c. sugar
2/3 c. white Karo syrup
1 c. cream or evaporated milk
3 c. raw peanuts
1 tsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
Red cake coloring

Mix together sugar, Karo syrup, cream (or evaporated milk does fine also) and peanuts. Cook for 1 hour over very low heat. Add butter, vanilla and red cake coloring. Bake until creamy and spoon out onto waxed paper to form patties.
