TRIFLE 
Angel food cake or pound cake
15 oz. can fruit cocktail or 1 box thawed, frozen strawberries
English custard powder
Slivered almonds (opt.)
Whipped cream
Fresh strawberries

Start by using a large bowl or deep dish as this will also be used as your serving bowl. Layer bottom of bowl or dish with slices of cake. Pour fruit and juice over cake until it is moist. Sprinkle almonds over fruit. Cook custard following package directions. Add custard on top of fruit. Chill in refrigerator until custard is set. Garnish top with whipped cream and fresh strawberries.
