CRUST: 1 1/2 c. flour 2/3 c. brown sugar 1/4 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 c. soft butter 2 egg yolks 3 c. miniature marshmallows Combine crust ingredients except marshmallows. Press in ungreased 9"x13" pan. Bake 12 to 15 minutes at 350 degrees. Immediately remove from oven and sprinkle marshmallows on top and return to oven for 1 to 2 minutes until marshmallows are puffed. Cool. TOPPING: 2/3 c. corn syrup 1/4 c. butter 2 tsp. vanilla 12 oz. pkg. peanut butter chips 2 c. Rice Krispies 2 c. salted peanuts (break by rolling) Heat first four ingredients until smooth. Add cereal and nuts. Spread on top of cooled crust and marshmallow layer. Chill before cutting. Very rich. 1 1/4" x 1 1/4" square is large enough. |
