12 slices bread (half white, half wheat) 12 oz. Cheddar cheese, grated 16 oz. pkg. chopped broccoli, thawed and drained well 2 c. turkey ham, finely diced 6 eggs, slightly beaten 3 1/2 c. milk 1/2 tsp. salt 2 tsp. instant minced onion 1 1/4 tsp. dry mustard Cut a circle out of the center of each slice of bread using an inverted water glass. Save these circles. Tear up the rest of the bread and place in the bottom of a greased 9 x 13 inch pan. Layer grated cheese, chopped broccoli, and turkey ham over the bread, then the bread circles. In medium bowl, mix together the eggs, milk, salt, onion, and mustard. Pour mixture over the ingredients in the pan. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Bake, uncovered, in 325 degree oven for 55 to 60 minutes until center is firm. Cool 10 to 15 minutes before removing from pan. Serves 12. |
