MARY JO'S HOLIDAY TRIFLE | |
1 angel food cake 1 lg. Cool Whip 1 sm. pkg. Jello 2 sm. pkg. pistachio pudding At least 4 kinds of fruit (kiwi, strawberries, orange slices, grapes, berries, cherries, peaches, pears, apples or bananas) Break up cake into large chunks. Place half in large plain clear glass bowl. Add one kind of fruit. Pour half of the pudding over the cake and fruit. Add another fruit. Pour half of the Cool Whip over the top. Make Jello mix with ice cubes to thicken quickly. Just before it is firm pour Jello over the other layers. Place the bowl in the refrigerator to thicken the Jello. Repeat all the previous steps (except Jello) ending with Cool Whip. Arrange colorful fruit on the top. Refrigerate immediately. Do not make more than one day in advance or it will get soggy. Try to arrange fruit layers so they will show on the sides of the bowl. This makes a beautiful dessert! Serves 20. |
