STRAWBERRY PIE | |
1 c. sugar 1 c. water 4 tbsp. cornstarch 1 box strawberry gelatin 1 qt. sliced strawberries Whipped topping 9-inch pastry shell Bring sugar, water and cornstarch to boil; add gelatin. Let cool and add strawberries. Pour into crust. Let set until firm. Top with whipped topping. SPECIAL CRUST FOR STRAWBERRY PIE: 1 1/2 c. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 2 1/2 tbsp. sugar 1/2 c. oil 2 tbsp. milk Mix above ingredients and spread in 9-inch pie pan with spoon. (Cannot be rolled out.) Cook in 400 degree oven 10-15 minutes. Let cool. Peaches may be substituted for strawberries; use peach jello. |
