RAISIN PIE 
2 c. raisins
2 c. water
1/2 c. white sugar
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. vinegar
1 tbsp. butter

Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Boil raisins in 1 3/4 cups water for 5 minutes. While this cooks, combine sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon and salt. Moisten with remaining 1/4 cup water and add to raisins, stirring until mixture boils. Remove from fire and add butter and vinegar. Pour into a 9 inch unbaked pie shell. Cover top with pastry strips. Bake 25 minutes in a hot oven at 425 degrees.
