MEXICAN LASAGNE 
1 1/2 lbs. hamburger
1 med. onion, chopped
1 1/2 tsp. ground cumin
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
3 tsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. salt
8 oz. sour cream
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 c. water
4 c. salsa sauce (mild, medium or hot)
1/2 lb. Monterey Jack cheese
1/2 lb. Cheddar cheese
Flour tortillas

Brown hamburger and onion, drain. Add all seasonings and water. Simmer until most of the liquid has evaporated, stir occasionally. Pour 1 1/2 cup salsa over the tortillas. Spoon on all of hamburger mixture, spoon sour cream over the hamburger in even "dollops". Mix cheeses in separate bowl, sprinkle 1/2 cheese over sour cream. Top with another layer of tortillas. Spread with remaining 1 cup of salsa, top with rest of cheese. Cover carefully with foil making sure foil does not touch cheese. Bake at 375 degrees for 40 minutes. Remove foil and bake 5 minutes more. Serves 8 to 10.
