1/2 c. butter
1/4 c. brown sugar
1 c. chopped walnuts
1 bottle strawberry jam or jelly
1 egg yolk
1 c. flour

Cream butter and sugar. Add beaten egg yolk and flour. Form into small balls. (Approximately 24) Dip in slightly beaten egg white. Roll in chopped walnuts. Press in center with thimble, or finger to form small "well" in the middle of the ball. Bake in 350 degree oven for 8 minutes. Remove to rack to cool. Fill with strawberry jelly.
