FRENCH STRAWBERRY PIE 
1 baked 9 inch pie shell
1 pkg. cream cheese, 3 oz.
1 qt. strawberries
1 c. granulated sugar
3 tbsp. cornstarch
1 c. whipping cream or Dream Whip

Spread cream cheese (blended with sufficient milk to soften it a little) over the bottom of cooled pie shell. Wash berries, hull them and drain well. Place half the berries in the cheese coated crust. Mash remaining berries until juice is well extracted. Bring juice and mashed berries to boiling point and slowly stir in sugar and cornstarch which have been mixed together. Cook slowly for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Cool and pour over the uncooked berries in pie shell. Place pie in refrigerator until very cold. Garnish with whipped cream.
