1 1/3 c. milk
6 tbsp. flour
3/4 c. butter
1/2 c. + 2 tbsp. shortening
1 1/3 c. sugar

Cook milk and flour on medium heat until thick. Cool. Cream well together butter, shortening and sugar. Add cooled flour mixture to creamed mixture. Beat with electric mixer until fluffy and sugar is dissolved. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla. For chocolate frosting, add 8 tablespoons of cocoa.
