PUMPKIN PIE 
6 eggs, separate
2 1/2 c. sugar
3 tbsp. cornstarch
1 can milk
1/2 lb. butter
3-4 cans pumpkin
2 tbsp. vanilla

Cook pumpkin, drain pumpkin and mash. Mix egg yolks, sugar, cornstarch, milk, butter and flavoring. Mix in with pumpkin. Bake at 350 degrees or until done.

TOPPING:

6 egg whites
3 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar

Beat egg whites with mixer on high speed, adding sugar. Beat until peeks up. Put on top of pie and brown.
