SOUR CREAM BANANA CAKE 
1/4 c. (1/2 stick) butter
1 1/3 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. chopped nuts
2 c. sifted regular all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. salt
1 c. dairy sour cream
1 c. mashed bananas (2 medium size)

In a mixing bowl, cream butter; gradually add sugar. Beat until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Add vanilla. Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt; add to creamed mixture alternately with sour cream, beginning and ending with dry ingredients. Add bananas and nuts, mixing just until blended. Pour into pan.

Bake in preheated 350°F oven 40 to 45 minutes. Cool on wire rack and frost with a caramel frosting or sift confectioners sugar over cooled cake.
