CHICKEN & DUMPLING 
3 c. self-rising flour
1 c. water
1 whole chicken, fryer or hen

Mix flour and water together. Knead your dough good and dry. Roll dough out in 3 rolls. Let dough get hard, and sprinkle flour on it every so often. Sprinkle flour on every so often. Cut thin in strips and break them off. Drop them off in the broth. Cook chicken for 1 hour and 20 minutes. Let it cool. Cut off from the bone and drop them in the dumplings.
