CARAMEL APPLE SALAD 
1 (16 oz.) can crushed pineapple
5 tbsp. flour
1 egg
2 tsp. vinegar
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
6 Granny Smith apples, peeled and diced
Cool Whip
1 1/2 c. nuts, chopped

Mix together first five ingredients and cook over medium heat until thick. Cool in refrigerator.

When mixture is cool add Cool Whip and nuts, stir until blended. Fold in apples. Keep in refrigerator until ready to serve.
