FLOATING ISLAND PUNCH 
1/2 c. sugar
2 c. water
1 (6 oz.) can frozen concentrated lemondae
3 (6 oz.) cans frozen concentrate orange juice
1 qt. ginger ale
1 qt. sparkling water or white grape juice
1 (4 oz.) bottle maraschino cherries and juice
1 orange, sliced thin
Ice cubes
1 pt. lemon or orange sherbet

Heat sugar and water until sugar dissolved; cool. Combine fruit juices, ginger ale, sparkling water, and fruit. Add cooled syrup. Pour into punch bowl. Add ice cubes. Drop in sherbet by spoonfuls or in small balls using ice cream dipper. 25-30 servings.
