MAPLE FILLED NUT BARS | |
1 (12 oz.) pkg. real chocolate chips 1 (12 oz.) pkg. butterscotch pieces 2 c. creamy peanut butter 1/2 c. butter, melted 1/4 c. milk 2 tbsp. regular vanilla pudding mix (not instant) 3 c. powdered sugar 1 tsp. maple flavoring 1 c. salted peanuts Melt together the chocolate and butterscotch pieces and the peanut butter. Spread half the mixture into a 9"x13" greased pan. Refrigerate until cool. Mix together the butter, milk and pudding mix and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and add powdered sugar and maple flavoring. Beat until smooth. Spread on first layer. Add peanuts to remaining chocolate mixture. Spread on top. Refrigerate. Cut into bars. (Keep refrigerated to keep it solid.) This recipe provides 9, 000 empty calories. To cut the recipe in half, cut only the chocolate layer ingredients in half. (First three ingredients listed.) |
