DUTCH APPLE SLICES 
CRUST:

4 c. flour
1 1/2 c. shortening
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1 1/2 tsp. salt
12 tbsp. water
2 egg yolks

FILLING:

16 apples
2 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon

CRUST: Mix flour, shortening and salt. Beat egg yolks with lemon juice and water. Add to the flour mixture. Roll out part of the dough. Put in a large pan. Roll out remaining dough. Reserve.

FILLING: Mix all filling ingredients. Spread over dough. Put remaining dough on top of filling. Bake at 375 degrees for 1 hour. When cool, cover with icing.
