BEAN POT BAKED LENTILS 
1 c. lentils
2-1/2 c. water
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. brown sugar
2 tbsp. catsup
2 tbsp. molasses
1/4 c. vegetable oil

Rinse lentils, drain, combine in saucepan: lentils, water, onion, and salt. Bring to boil. cover and simmer 45 minutes. Stir in brown sugar, catsup, molasses, and oil. Turn into 1-quart bean pot or casserole dish. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 1-1/4 hours.
