2 c. flour
1 c. salt
2 tbsp. alum
3 tbsp. salad oil
1 1/2 c. boiling water

Put 1 1/2 cups water on to boil. Add oil to water. Add flour, salt, and alum to the water, stirring constantly. Remove from heat after it is all stirred together. After it cools a little, divide the dough into equal parts. Make a little hole in each and add a few drops of food coloring in each. Knead until the coloring has been worked into the dough and a smooth color. Place in individual plastic bags. Will keep for months in tight containers.
