PECAN PIE 
3 eggs, beaten
1/2 c. sugar
dash salt
1 c. dark corn syrup
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. (1/2 stick) butter
1 c. pecans (or more)
1 prepared pie shell, unbaked

Mix eggs, sugar, syrup, salt, vanilla and butter. Spread nuts on bottom of prepared pie shell. Pour in filling. Bake in a 450°F oven for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350°F and bake 25 to 30 minutes more.
