LIP-SMACKING LIVER 
1 lb. liver, cut up
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
2 lg. tart apples, peeled & chopped
1 med. onion, finely chopped
1/4 c. water
4 slices bacon

Arrange liver in buttered dish; season, cover with apples, onion and water; top with bacon. Bake, covered at 350 degrees for 30 minutes; uncover and bake for 15 minutes. Yield: 4 servings.
