1 c. soft shortening
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
3/4 c. granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 c. peanut butter
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. uncooked oatmeal
1/2 tsp. salt

Beat shortening and sugars together. Add eggs and peanut butter. Beat well. Add flour, soda, and salt. Mix well. Stir in oats. Shape into 1-inch balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Press with fork tines. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes.
