BASIC BASTING SAUCE 
1/4 c. salad oil
3/4 c. onion, chopped
1 garlic clove, minced
1 c. honey
1 c. catsup
1 c. wine vinegar
1/2 c. Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp. dry mustard
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. black pepper
1/2 tsp. thyme

Cook onions and garlic in oil until tender, but not brown. Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Cook another 5 minutes on low heat. Stir constantly.
