1 c. mayonnaise
3 tbsp. chocolate (cocoa)
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. chopped dates
1 c. chopped walnuts
1 c. boiling water
2 c. flour

Pour boiling water over dates and nuts and let stand while mixing the rest. Add with flour, soda and salt and cinnamon. Bake at 350 degrees. Put into 7 1/2 x 12 inch pan or can bake in two 8 inch cake pans.
