1 c. butter
1/2 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. peppermint extract
1/4 tsp. salt
2 1/4 c. cake flour
Few drops green food coloring

Heat oven to 400 degrees. Mix butter, sugar and flavoring thoroughly. Add salt and flour to butter mixture. Add green food coloring and mix thoroughly. Drop by teaspoonsful on ungreased baking sheet. Cookies do not spread - do not smooth or shape cookies.

Bake about 8 minutes or until set but not brown. Dip in powdered sugar while cookies are warm. Handle very carefully, they are fragile. Can be frozen. Makes 5 dozen.
