BOHNENSHOTEN SUPPE 
Good sized ham bone (with some meat still on it)
1 chopped onion
1 sprig summer savory, or 1 to 2 tsp. dried
Several potatoes, diced
1 or 2 cans French cut green beans, drained
1 or 1 1/2 c. sour cream

Cook ham bone in about 1 1/2 to 2 quarts or more of water for about an hour or until meat comes off easily. Add onion and sprig of summer savory. When meat and broth is almost done add potatoes, cook 10 to 15 minutes. Then add green beans. Heat through. Right before serving add 1 or 1 1/2 cups sour cream.
